College Dreams is really where my college career started. I may have only been eleven years old when I started the program, but it really made a difference in how the rest of my school years played out. College Dreams really made me think about my future and gave me a goal and a focus for all of middle and high school. Even though neither of my parents had even finished high school, it made me realize that I could go to college and succeed.

Through all of the hurdles and challenges life threw at me over the years, my College Dreams mentor, Monet Talty, was always there for me to offer support and guidance, to listen and offer advice, and most importantly, to be a true friend and role model. Without Monet and the amazing support and encouragement of College Dreams, I would most certainly not be where I am today. It is because of this program and Monet’s persistence that I had my entire college tuition paid for all four years.  She made sure that I applied for every single college scholarship I possibly could, proofreading essays and applications every step of the way. Thanks to Monet and College Dreams, I was able to graduate from college completely debt free! I feel truly blessed and thankful to be a part of such a life-changing program, it really does make a difference!
